![]() Since this first Star Wars DVD is truly a big event for the DVD format, and the fact that I am a super fanatical Star Wars fan and want to devote a lot of attention to the disc, I'm doing this review in a different way from the standard reviews you'd find on the site. The second saucer is packed with deleted scenes, an absolutely excellent hour-long documentary movie, all of the web documentaries, the theatrical trailers, seven TV spots, and more. On the first disc you get the movie in a 2:35 anamorphic widescreen transfer with a Dolby Digital 5.1 EX soundtrack and an audio commentary featuring George Lucas and multiple members of the creative force. On October 16th, Star Wars Episode I: The Phantom Menace will hit stores in a two disc special feature packed DVD. ![]() ![]() It isn't the original, or either of the two sequels, but its still a Star Was movie and it is one mighty fine DVD. After years of waiting, complaining, and mindless petitions a Star Wars movie is hitting DVD.
